The story of Mnky Bread is derived from the realisation that skincare has become too complicated. Why has it become so difficult to take care of ourselves? Is my sensitive or melanin rich skin being considered in these formulations? Those are the questions we wanted to explore and ultimately answer. 

The Monkey Bread tree, also known as the tree of life or the Baobab tree is native to our home in Southern Africa and is known for its traditional medicinal qualities that have been used for centuries. It produces this glorious super-fruit with a high nutritional value and the monkey’s love it! This fruit is essentially the monkey’s daily bread and that’s why the locals named it the Monkey Bread tree.

Our curious minds, keen interest in creating a simple skincare product we could both use resulted in the birth of Mnky Bread.
